I love this. What I love most about these newsletter/thought-streams are the fact that you go on without reluctance. And how we also get to get lost in your head. And thank you for the introduction to Georges Perec! :D read it in one go, perched on a staircase. <3
An excellent, if long read. Loved the photos of the balcony. I grumbled when my mother insisted on creating a lawn on the end of drive-too impractical, but I love it now.
Took me about 30 minutes... and found so much wisdom in this read. I wanted to stop and continue later but I couldn't.
Also I see these are raw thoughts you are putting in writing when I read the part of converting a room to a working space to a gym to a den etc. There was no full stop. Rightfully so there shouldn't be either as the possibilities were endless.
Raw, Unfiltered and Unedited.
Also since the subject is on spaces will you consider writing on what happens between those spaces? You could write a book, maybe two but I assure you it can never be enough because there's so much that can never be covered with human effort but the possibilities are endless.
This was well worth the wait!

I think we could all do with a beach house like yours. Such a treat to read your words.
